OSX Security Software?

In the interest of reducing security threats to your Mac, you should go out right now and get the latest security software designed specifically to address OSX vulnerabilities. NOT.
Don’t be suckered by those marketing FUD, or so says ZD Net UK in this article, in which the threat of danger to your mac from malicious attacks is compared to the danger of death from choking on ice cream.
“Phew. At last, the world is safe from the thousands of Intel-specific Mac viruses, worms, trojans and other malware that make today’s OS X experience one long struggle against evil. Or it would be, were there any. Which there aren’t. Not one.”
Thank you Andrew for finally clearing that up!!! We were all held captive by one unnamed “MSNBC” reporter that claimed somehow a change in processor equaled lack of security. For a good laugh you can watch Macs response here. The one titled “Viruses :)
Comparing that to choking on ice cream is unfair. It’s a real thing, I swear! I choked on ice cream for about four and a half minutes at a school ice cream social over a year ago. Ice cream is evil I swear! It tried to kill me! Please don’t eat it anymore for the sake of your lives! It’s frozen death! I almost died! Oh, and by the way, I’m not insane, just in case you were wondering…
